The American President Donald Trump stated that he was ready to consider the possibility of reducing import tariffs. However, other countries must offer something "phenomenal" in return.

Donald Trump defended the increase in tariffs despite the collapse of financial markets, claiming that such a reaction was expected.

The American President also indicated that the White House was open to negotiations on tariff reductions for other countries, despite some senior officials' insistence.

"If someone tells us they will give us something phenomenal, as long as they give us something good. Tariffs give us great negotiating power," said Mr. Trump.

The American President Donald Trump imposed widespread tariffs on imported goods. This historic decision shook the entire world. Media suggested that Trump's actions might become the "third economic earthquake" of the last 17 years. According to Bloomberg, the world's richest people have already lost 208 billion dollars (about 189 billion euros) because of the new American tariffs.
