Donald Trump is making history, but now in a negative way because, according to a CNN poll, the popularity of the American president is at a historic low one hundred days after his inauguration.
Trump scores with an approval rating of 41 percent, the lowest of all newly elected presidents in at least 72 years.
The 'approval rating' was polled among Americans from April 17 to 24 with 1,678 adults nationwide. And Trump's score has fallen by 4 percentage points compared to March and by 7 percentage points compared to the end of February.
86 percent of Republican Americans still support Trump, while 93 percent of Democrats disapprove of him. Additionally, the confidence of Americans in Trump is declining on almost all his major issues - the economy, tariffs, foreign affairs, and immigration.
CNN is not alone with these striking results. The latest opinion poll by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos also shows that Trump's overall approval is lower than two months ago, shortly after his inauguration.
