A new milestone in Donald Trump's policy: on Wednesday, the American president launched a striking website.

Through the website, wealthy foreigners can now begin the process of purchasing a 'golden card'—a permanent residence permit in the United States—by paying five million dollars.

On TrumpCard.gov, interested parties can already submit their details. However, the actual visas are not yet available. It concerns a waiting list where wealthy foreign applicants can register. According to the White House, the new programme is intended to replace the existing EB-5 visa. This currently grants residency rights to foreigners making significant investments in the US, but according to Trump, the system is too susceptible to fraud. Trump claims that selling 'about a million' gold cards could generate billions for the American government.
