Trump allies wonder if Elon Musk, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), should continue giving so many interviews, as his statements often contradict those of the president.
Donald Trump assured that his administration wouldn't touch Social Security, except to make it more efficient. However, Musk recently made critical remarks about the program, which contradict Trump's promises and have raised concerns among Republican Party members.
These concerns have led some Donald Trump supporters to question whether the billionaire should continue to make frequent media appearances.
The Trump administration sought to reassure and stated that Musk's personal views on Social Security didn't influence President Trump's policy.
Some media also mention an open conflict between Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. But to put an end to the issue, according to Politico, President Donald Trump has decided to curb Musk's powers.
