Donald Trump claimed that lawyers were fuelling "rampant fraud and unfounded claims" in the immigration system.
The American president Donald Trump threatened to take action against lawyers and legal teams who file lawsuits against the immigration measures adopted by his administration.
In a memorandum, the American president declared that lawyers were fuelling "rampant fraud and unfounded claims" in the immigration system, and therefore ordered the Department of Justice to sanction those he believes are engaging in professional misconduct.
Trump wants to impose sanctions against lawyers and firms who file "frivolous, unreasonable, and vexatious lawsuits against the United States". He asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to refer these firms to the White House so that certain accreditations can be removed from them and any contracts they might have with the federal government can be terminated.
