Ukrainians deprive Russian army of a major asset: $300,000 up in smoke

Russia's most advanced and expensive drone has been shot down by the Ukrainian armed forces.

The experimental reconnaissance drone Merlin-VR was destroyed in the Lyman sector. According to the Khortytsia Strategic Operational Group, it's one of the most advanced and costly Russian devices, valued at over $300,000. The Merlin-VR can reach an altitude of 5km, cover a distance of up to 600km, and fly for up to 10 hours.

Before it could complete its mission, the Ukrainians managed to intercept it at altitude and destroy it with precise strikes, reports the media L’Indépendant.
