In Ukraine, the fighting is still ongoing. As resources dwindle after more than three years of war, new weapons are set to arrive on the Ukrainian front line, bolstering Zelensky's military capabilities.

Herman Smetanin, the Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industry, announced at the beginning of April during a press conference that Kiev had increased its missile production by 8 times and tripled its weapon production last year, and that this year new weapons would be deployed on the front line.

Smetanin indicated that the "Long Neptune" missiles were already being used "every month". A significant improvement from the classic Neptune as its range has been increased to 1,000km, reports the media outlet L’Indépendant. Additionally, the Ukrainian minister reminded us that in 2024, Kiev also produced "new cruise missiles and rocket-launcher drones: Palianytsia, Peklo, Ruta and Bars". "Last year, we only had one cruise missile, the Neptune missile," he highlighted.

Its own Patriot defence system

According to Smetanin's information, the Bohdana self-propelled gun has also been improved: "We have introduced a new version - the towed Bohdana." Finally, Ukraine is currently in the process of designing its own Patriot anti-aircraft defence system.
