The aerospace company Boeing plans to deliver 48 F-15 fighter jets to the United States in 2025 and 2026.

Boeing will ramp up the production of these aircraft and will build two per month until the end of next year.

Senior officials in the US Air Force have "been calling for years" for more F-15EX jets to bolster their air fleet, as it is "the heaviest and longest-running production class of fighter aircraft in the Western world".

The F-15EX features a more powerful radar, superior flight performance, and can carry more munitions.

The United States wants to catch up with the Russian and Chinese armed forces.

Indeed, when comparing the planned annual production, that of the F-15EX is lower than that of the Russian Su-34 fighters (production has doubled since the start of the war in Ukraine, reaching around 30 fighters per year).
