The White House has confirmed that Washington has suspended the shipment of certain weapons to Ukraine.

This measure comes after the Russian military launched its largest airstrike against Ukrainian territory this weekend since the start of the conflict more than three years ago, using more than 470 drones and 60 missiles.

White House press secretary Anne Kelly told CBS that "the decision was made to prioritize the interests of the United States after the Department of Defense reviewed our nation's military support and assistance to other countries around the world."

Nevertheless, Anne Kelly affirmed that "the strength of the American armed forces remains unquestioned." "Just ask Iran," she added, referring to Washington's attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

The US suspension of arms deliveries has a serious impact on Ukraine's military strategy, particularly at a time when Russia has intensified its air attacks and is gaining ground in key regions such as Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk. The systems affected include air defense missiles and projectiles, Patriot interceptors, 155mm artillery ammunition, and Hellfire missiles, all essential for defending against the Russian air and artillery offensive.
