According to Boris Pistorius, the German Defence Minister, Putin is "playing a game" over Ukraine. This claim is prompted by Russia's night attacks against Ukraine.
The attacks came just a few hours after a phone call between the US President Donald Trump and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We’ve seen that attacks on civilian infrastructure have not eased at all in the first night after this supposedly groundbreaking, great phone call," said Boris Pistorius in a television interview reported by the news agency AFP.
Pistorius also finds it "unacceptable" that Russia sets stopping of military support and the sharing of intelligence by Western countries to Ukraine as an "key condition" for peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
