Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Vladimir Putin's insincere statements about seeking a lasting peace, as Russia carried out new attacks on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president pointed out that the recent strikes across the country exposed the Kremlin's true intentions, despite the two warring nations agreeing not to target each other's energy infrastructure.
Regional governors across Ukraine reported that 117 drones had been launched, with half of them successfully intercepted.
“Last night, there were another 117 proofs in our skies of how Russia continues to drag out this war. Launching such large-scale attacks after ceasefire negotiations is a clear signal to the whole world that Moscow is not going to pursue real peace,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.
In response, Moscow claimed that Kyiv had attempted to damage energy infrastructure, including a gas storage site in Crimea and an electricity transmission facility in the Bryansk region.
