White smoke: The Vatican presents the new pope

Cardinal Robert Francis Prévost is the new pope.
He's American and follows in the footsteps of Pope Francis. He is 69 years old, his father is French, and he has lived in Peru. He becomes the 267th pope, the first American pope. He will reign under the name Leo XIV.
