Will Michelle Obama divorce?

Michelle Obama broke her silence on persistent rumours regarding her marriage, speaking candidly during a recent episode of the "Work in Progress" podcast.

In January, social media users began spreading rumours about a possible divorce between the former First Lady and former President Barack Obama.

Speculation was fuelled by Michelle Obama's absence at two major public events: the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump.

While her team attributed her absence from Carter's funeral to a scheduling conflict, no explanation was given for her absence at Trump's inauguration, further intensifying online discussions.

In her podcast interview, Michelle Obama commented on the situation for the first time, without going into details:

"I chose to do what is best for me, rather than what I was supposed to do," she stated.

The former First Lady made it clear that she's entering a new phase of her life, where personal priorities and self-discovery are paramount.

The time has come for me to start asking myself these tough questions: "Who do I really want to be every day? and that changes," she admitted.

Michelle also remarked that despite her public persona, she strives to only control what's within her power. "I've learned that I can only control myself," she emphasised.
